The Department of Chemistry at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for the MS or PhD program. Current research in our department spans a variety of areas such as structural biochemistry, drug design & delivery, green chemistry, chemical and biochemical sensors, and computational and biophysical methods. To apply, complete an online application and pay the University required fee of $70 (international). And have your GRE and TOEFL scores sent directly to the University of Cincinnati from ETS (code number: 1833). Unofficial copies of all transcripts can now be uploaded during the application process.
Admission Requirements
1. Three letters of recommendation.
2. CV/Resume.
3. Personal statement of research interests (including area of proposed study such as organic, physical, etc.) and reason for wanting to attend the University of Cincinnati.
4. GRE score >285 (verbal & quantitative).
5. TOEFL score (international students only) iBT >85 (with speaking >17) OR IELTS 6.5+ OR Pearson Test of English (PTE) OR ELS Level 112 courses.
6. Official transcripts of all colleges/universities attended (only required if accepting an offer of admission. Unofficial transcripts are used for evaluation purposes only).
Deadline for Receipt of Materials
All complete applications received by January 15 annually will receive full consideration for financial aid including departmental Fellowships. The deadline for applications for Fall admission is March 1 annually. Late applications (received after March 1) will be evaluated only if openings are available.
