[초청강연] Comparative Genomics of the Neuron

Abstract: In this talk, I present our work in computational analysis of neuronal processes at three different levels. First I discuss our continued work on sensory neuron in the Drosophila olfactory system. Using functional data from individual receptor/neuron electrophysiology measurements we have built a model to predict the behavioral response of the animal. Second, I discuss our work on comparative genomic analysis of pre-synaptic proteins in mammalian genomes and the application of our genomic annotation to a genome-wide association studies on Autism population. Lastly, I briefly discuss our new work on genes involved in dendritic function of the neuron and computational annotation of functional motifs in dendritic genes.
