Information about SNU Glo-harmony Scholarship for Fall 2013

1. Eligibility Criteria


        Students from DAC recipient country

        Undergraduate or graduate students

        Undergraduate students: going into first, second or third year in Spring 2013

        Demonstrating financial need

        Majoring in Humanities or Social Sciences are given priority

        Applicants from combatant nations of the Korean War(South Africa, Ethiopia, Colombia, Turkey, Thailand, and the Philippines) are given priority in 2013

        Willing and capable of contributing to their home country upon graduation

        Having potential to become a global leader

        Language proficiency of either English or Korean is highly recommended, but not compulsory

2. Value of Scholarship

 

Undergraduate

        Full Tuition Fee is provided by SNU starting from Fall 2013(Maximum of 8 semesters)

        Scholarships will be revised and renewed every year depending on their grades(minimum of 2.7), study ability, improvements in Korean Language, and fund availability at the time of renewal

        Financial support (dormitory fee, insurance, text books, food, etc.) will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

Graduate:

        Financial support will be provided by Samsung Dream Scholarship Foundation

3. Number of openings : Approx. 4 students(undergraduate/graduate)

 

4. Procedure & Important Dates

- Application deadline: Jul. 24(Wed), 2013 18:00

- First Screening: Aug. 12(Mon) ~ 14(Wed), 2013

- Interview: Aug. 28(Wed) ~ 30(Fri)

         * Only those candidates selected for interview will be contacted

- Results: Early Sep.

        * Only final candidates will be notified by the foundation.
