Fellowships provide training in broad aspects of human genetics, with a focus on identifying genetic variation that underlies human disorders. Specific areas of research include family and population-based studies of communication disorders and studies of the sense of taste. State-of-the-art genetic technologies and statistical analysis methods are emphasized, and unparalleled resources for clinical and translational research are available through the NIH Clinical Center.
