MD Anderson Cancer Center 포스닥 모집 (기한 2012.12.31)

2012-08-27l 조회수 3535

Two postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Min Sup Song at the Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology, MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our laboratory focuses on understanding the fundamental mechanisms responsible for molecular pathogenesis regulating cancer, aging, and metabolic disorder. In particular, we are interested in identifying novel regulatory mechanisms of PTEN and its intersection pathway by a direct genetic approach in the mouse as well as biochemical approaches. Ultimately, theses studies will greatly advance our knowledge of cancer pathogenesis, be translated into clinical care, and offer exciting therapeutic opportunities.

The selected postdoctoral investigators will be engaged to 1) better understand the functions and regulation of PTEN in cancer pathogenesis and progression by utilizing assorted mouse models (refer to Song et al. Nature 2008; Song et al. Nat Rev Mol Cell Biol 2012), 2) explore the PTEN intersection pathway in metabolic disorder associated with cancer risk in vivo (refer to Song et al. Cell 2011; Garcia-Cao et al. Cell 2012).

Candidates must have:

-  Highly motivated, dedicated and ambitious scientific interest

- Solid experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell biology and in vivo mouse modeling work, and should be familiar with cancer cell signaling and metabolism.

-  Less than 2 years of the time they obtained their Ph.D

For more information, please contact Dr. Min Sup Song (msong@bidmc.harvard.edu).

Qualified candidates should send their CV, cover letter including their research experience and clear interest in pursuing an independent career in science, and two references by email to: msong@bidmc.harvard.edu
